It is funny how you come to cherish days like these. Before I was a mom I had simple days all the time. Weekends and nights were my own. I didn't have to share them with anyone, if I choose not too.
But of course having a child changed all that. I'll admit it took some adjusting too but now I don't think I'd have it any other way. My days are now filled with more love and enjoyment then ever before!
When I do get time for myself it's even more special. I appreciate it so much more then I did before. I know that it won't last for long. So nowadays I truly see the beauty in every minute I have to myself.
On my recent "simple day" I made sure to make the most of it! I got up early and got my day started. I was able to finish up many of my little creations that have been patiently waiting for me . It was such a great feeling to finally get these finished! The day was so productive. Of course I did make sure I threw in a little TV couch time. And it was simply wonderful!
These are a few of my creations that i finished up.
Mr. and Mrs. Snowden |
Mr. Jack's in the works |
Little Miss Pumkin |

I believe that all of us need to take a simple day every once in a while. A day where we take care of ourselves and give us "our" time.
We are so busy giving our time to everyone else that I think we, especially us wives and mothers, forget to give time to ourselves.
I enjoyed every moment of my simple day! And hope that you all get to take a day for yourselves soon.

Wonderful hand mades Heather! Yes, those simple days are few and far between especially for each kid that you add to the family, lol! Now that my third and last child is in all day Kindergarten, for the first time in 16 years, I have my days to myself to play, create, oh and clean (yuck). But I will definitely agree that taking those simple days to do what you love to do is a must for anyone! Glad you got to have yours and looks like you had a fun and productive day!
